MoMo Eats - Sweets

Hello.

I'm making an attempt to emerge from my hiatus.

My motivation? Ice cream...pretty standard for all aspects of my life actually, just ask Graham.

I'm going to tell you about a few of the amazing sweets I've eaten over the last couple of weeks.

While watching Biggest Loser. #standard

There are so many amazing places to indulge down here on the Lower East Side. Aka my hips and skinny jeans are no longer enjoying each other's company. When in Rome...

My bestie, Joanna was visiting this past weekend and we did some fabulous activities, one of which was eating at Melt Bakery.

Melt Bakery

Melt, located on Orchard St.  is an ice cream sandwich lovers dream. It's basically a store front with a fridge and a friendly man standing beside it.

They offer five sandwich combinations at a time, but have up to thirty in their rotation. They offer regular and mini sandwiches as well. Jo and I got four minis to share. We tried the The Classic (your standard ice cream sammie), The Cinnimax (a snicker doodle had a baby with french toast), The Morticia (malted milk balls at their finest), and The Lovelet (cream cheese ice cream, enough said).

The damage

My fave was the Cinnamax and Jo loved the Classic.

This place is amazing and you MUST go if you're in the neighborhood. And then call me, because I'll meet you there. They even deliver, here's my address... but no really just ask me.

Piperlime store? We'll take it.

Sugar Sweet Sunshine

Sugar Sweet Sunshine is small bakery shop located on Rivington St. on the Lower East Side. It's adorable, shabby chic and a sugary haven of all things happy.

My sister-in-law Olivia visited two weeks ago and we decided to forgo anything healthy for our Saturday lunch. Pudding and cupcakes it was.

Oh we saw this, and it was just amazing as you think it is.

I ordered the Ooey Gooey (chocolate cake with chocolate almond buttercream) and Olivia had the Goodie Goodie and we split a cup of the Chocolate  Chip Extravaganza pudding. NBD.

Sugar comas took place. Smiles were had. Rainbows and butterflies were present.

Lunch of champions

They have a large variety of cupcakes along with three flavors of pudding, mini cheesecakes, layer cakes and pies.

Did I mention that I love this city? And that I probably need to go to the dentist again?

xxoo, your girl with a sweet tooth, Mo
