An update, if you will

Who knew blogging regularly would be so hard!?
I feel as though I've neglected the migration of Mo.
I have a new found respect for The Pioneer Woman... I don't have four kids, a husband, or a ranch. #lackluster

I have many things to report back on...but thought I would do a quick surface update so that you don't COMPLETELY forget about me.

Since the last time I posted...I...

Saw a rat run in front of me in the subway
Joined a gym
Ate at The Meatball Shop (more to come on that one)
Ate at the Clinton St. Baking Company (ditto)
Built a cabinet
Almost had a heart attack due to the building of the cabinet
Went to World Trade Center #7, did you know there were more than two???
Tried Kossar's Bialys bagels
Used ZocDoc to find a dentist
Went to the dentist (wah)
Fell asleep in the dentist chair
Got a talking to from the dental hygienist because I wasn't dressed warm enough
Became obsessed with Ashby's
Didn't blog
Went to spin class
Made 300 cold calls
Drank my body weight in coffee
Had ice cream for dinner
Watched someone pay $12 for a pint of ice cream at the grocery store
Opened my Birch Box
Went to The Box
Went to a Tiki Bar
Got a manicure in Duane Reade
Took out my trash
Cleaned my apartment, which took ten minutes because my apartment is the size of your bedroom
Fell asleep on the subway
Went to Home Sweet Home
Made plans/reservations for this weekend...because Graham is visiting!

If I promise to post more often will you visit my blog everyday so I feel loved? Pretty please?

Setting up the ol' place

Mama Pugs and I took the bus up to NY on Wednesday to unpack everything and set up the apartment.

After January 1st I will have taken the bus a total of 8 times in the last month. I think it's time to give Amtrak some business.

Our trip was great and also surprisingly uneventful!

We got to the city around 12:30pm and headed right to the apartment. T'was a tad depressing at first because it was just full of boxes!!! We headed to grab some lunch at Berkli Parc which was delish and I would highly recommend. (good place for salad/sandwiches/coffee)

Then we headed back and got to work. Once again, Moms are so good at unpacking and organizing, I just don't get it.

Somehow my clothes fit into the closet, no clue how though...the only place we really had a shortage of storage was the bathroom so I need to buy a little somethin' somethin' for that...

I used TLC's Studio Tips and the Tiny House Blog for organizing and decorating the apartment. Some of the most helpful tips were utilizing mirrors to create the elusion of more space, taking advantage of under the bed storage and keeping the room clean/bright. Photos below!

I'm happy with how it turned out. Still awaiting a couple more things...cable/internet so I can feel like a real person, but other than that it's done.

Now come visit me so you can see it in real life.

The next morning we grabbed doughnuts at the Doughnut Plant and proceeded to eat our body weight in sugary bliss.

Sugary bliss

We then went down to the Financial District to see what my commute will be like. It was only an 8 minute ride on the subway. WOOT.

We had to head to the bus shortly after that. I'm in DC for New Years and heading back up to NY officially on the 1st. I am definitely ready to be in the city for good!
