Meatballs are my jam.
And I have a very high precendent for these meatballs because my Aunt Alice KNOWS how to make some meatballs. And so does my Mama.
Many friends have tried taking me to The Meatball Shop. They tell me it's the best food on the LES.
And I believe them. And get overly excited.
And each time we were greeted with a beautiful two hour wait and then sulked away to another nearby restaurant.
But my friend Payman made a difference.
He lives right across the street and goes there all the time!
And the service impecable.
(would this be considered a haiku poem?)

Anyway...we ate there on Wednesday. And I must admit, it stood up to my astrnomical expectations.

This place is so legit they even have their own cookbook. I feel like only legit places really have cookbooks. Maybe Amazon just has a way of convincing me of things though.
