My best friend Joanna, Juanita, Josie, Jo, JoJo, Juans (a woman of many names, call her whatever you'd like!) came over to help me detox my closet. She wouldn't let me do it without her. She was concerned my ruffled white button down (basically a pirate shirt from Seinfeld) would make it to another location. It did not make it. I hope another girl enjoys it as much as I did!

It's sad to admit how similar my shirt was |
Jo and I may have reenacted the scene from SATC when they go through Carrie's closet before she moves in with Big (tear). It happened, and we drank wine, and giggled and sat on the floor gabbing for a while.
My closet in NYC is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than this guy...aka the closet of my 25 year old dreams.

Jo made out like a bandit with some new goodies and the rest was donated. Thanks for your help, JoJo!
After detoxing came packing. Mama Pugs came over to help with that. I swear, how do Mom's have this weird inherent packing gene and when do I get it? Everything was neatly in boxes, snug, and organized. We were done fairly quickly and unfortunately some of my fave items are staying with the rents...aka anything larger than the palm of my hand. Let's remind ourselves of the shoebox I'm moving into.

Naturally...throughout the detox/packing experience I made a few mental notes for the next move (which won't be for another year....Pops put a limit on my moves from here on out!).
1. One girl does not need 7 pairs of gladiator sandals.
2. Why do I have a black rain coat, black fur coat, black leather jacket, black puffer coat, black puffer vest and a black dress coat? #excessive
3. Stop buying hair products. Immediately
4. Always live close enough to your mom so she can help you pack.
5. Saving all of the stuffing that comes out of new purses is a huge waste of space and the fact that I'm taking it to New York makes me a huge diva. Aware.
6. After owning them for two years, I am actually moving to a place that I can wear my rain boots.
7. Taping your jewelry box closed and putting it in a box will most likely result in a tangled disaster. I'm already bracing myself.
Tomorrow morning we're leaving VA at 6AM to get on the road for NYC! I can't wait to report back on the official move. AH.
xxoo...love a MoMo
