The move

Little Mo, big truck

Yesterday was moving day.

I drove the U-Haul through the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, through the sea of swirly twirly gum drops, and then through the Holland Tunnel.
It was a ridiculous experience. My father was fearing for his life. We almost hit about 17 people and almost took off even more side view mirrors.
But we did it! Got a spot right in front of the apartment, well created our own by just blocking other cars. But apparently New Yorkers are pretty lax about things like that.

My dad and little brother Jeff moved all of the heaving things into the apartment and I stood watch in the truck to make sure no one stole my valuable (or not) belongings.

Daas is Jeffrey. He is strong man.

Once we got everything in we drove the U-Haul back to Chelsea to turn it in and then cabbed back to the LES (Lower East Side, duh).

We grabbed some lunch at a little hole in the wall during which I inhaled a meatball gyro (welcome to New York?). I also learned that someone had borrowed (stolen) my beloved toolbox which I left outside my apartment because I thought it was too germey. (I know, #rookiemistake)

We grabbed a couple items from the local bodega and then started cleaning the apartment. It was definitely clean when we got there, but I am nothing short of a clean freak.

Then we headed back up to Penn Station to grab our bus home! It was Christmas Eve Eve after all and none of us wanted to travel today.

Overall the day was oddly, thankfully uneventful! I'm so happy I had the help of my little (large)
broseph and my Pops. I couldn't have done it without them.

Papa Pug on da right

I'm heading back up on Thursday with my mom to finish all of the unpacking and set everything up. I'm a little nervous about how everything will fit, the bed especially. But I'm sure we'll make it work. I can't wait to show more completed pictures of the place.

Also, if anyone has suggestions/advice regarding studio decorating/arranging please do share!

Have a wonderful Christmas Eve!!! Yay presents and baby Jesus.

xxoo...your little elf named Mo
